Gill and Callum share a quiet moment together on the beach, standing arm in arm and looking at each other with the Ayrshire coastline stretching behind them. A relaxed and intimate moment from their Seamill Hydro wedding day.

Gill & Callum’s wedding at Seamill Hydro was a beautiful day by the Ayrshire coast, filled with laughter, happy moments and plenty of time spent with the people closest to them.

Set against the backdrop of the Firth of Clyde, Seamill Hydro provided a wonderful setting for their wedding day, with its coastal location and relaxed atmosphere making it a lovely place to celebrate with family and friends.

And there was one particularly important member of the family who was there to enjoy it all too - Beamer.

From the morning preparations through to the evening celebrations, it was a day full of those little moments that make wedding films so special.

Morning Preparations

The day began with the excitement of getting ready for the celebrations ahead.

There’s always something lovely about the morning of a wedding. The finishing touches, the anticipation, the laughter and those quieter moments before everyone comes together for the ceremony all help to build the atmosphere of the day.

With hair and makeup being finished and all the final details coming together, there was a real sense of excitement as Gill & Callum’s wedding day got underway.

Working alongside such a friendly group of suppliers also made the day a pleasure to film, with everyone contributing to the relaxed atmosphere.

A Beautiful Ceremony at Seamill Hydro

With family and friends gathered together, Gill & Callum’s ceremony was one of those moments where everything else seems to disappear for a little while.

For me, these are some of the most rewarding moments to capture on a wedding day. Rather than directing everything, I love being able to step back and let things happen naturally — the smiles, the laughter, the nerves and those little glances between a couple that often say more than words.

Seamill Hydro's coastal surroundings also gave the day a beautiful sense of place, with the sea and Ayrshire coastline providing a memorable backdrop to the celebrations.

Beamer Joins the Celebrations

Of course, no account of Gill & Callum’s wedding would be complete without mentioning Beamer.

Having your dog there on such an important day can make everything feel even more personal, and Beamer was very much part of Gill & Callum’s celebrations.

These are exactly the kinds of details I love capturing in a wedding film. Years from now, it won't just be the big moments that bring the day back — it will be seeing the people, places and little characters who made it uniquely theirs.

Time Together by the Coast

After the ceremony came time to relax, celebrate and enjoy being newly married.

There was plenty of opportunity for Gill & Callum to spend time together, surrounded by their family and friends, while the beautiful setting at Seamill Hydro provided plenty of natural moments to capture.

One of my favourite things about wedding films is preserving the atmosphere around the main events.

A laugh between friends. A hug from a family member. A quiet moment between the couple. Guests enjoying themselves together.

These are the moments that can be easy to overlook on the day, but they can become some of the most precious memories when you watch your wedding film years later.

Beautiful Details & Personal Touches

The styling and details throughout the day helped bring everything together, with flowers from Brush & Blossom Studio adding to the setting and the cake from Infinite Indulgence providing another lovely personal touch.

There’s something special about seeing all these individual elements come together without taking away from what the day is really about - Gill & Callum and the people they love.

From the preparations to the ceremony and celebrations afterwards, everything felt like part of one relaxed and joyful wedding day.

Music, Dancing & Celebrating

As the evening got underway, the atmosphere naturally shifted into celebration mode.

With DJ Stephen Bennett providing the music, the dance floor became the place to be as everyone came together to celebrate Gill & Callum.

There’s always something special about watching a wedding reception gradually transform as the evening goes on. The formalities are finished, everyone has relaxed, and suddenly the dance floor becomes the centre of attention.

For a wedding film, these moments bring so much energy and personality. The laughter gets louder, the dancing gets less restrained and everyone is simply enjoying themselves.

A Beautiful Seamill Hydro Wedding

Looking back at Gill & Callum’s wedding, it was the combination of all those little things that made the day so memorable.

The beautiful coastal setting. The thoughtful details. The music, flowers and cake. Beamer being part of the celebrations.

But ultimately, it was the people that made the day.

There’s something incredibly rewarding about being able to spend a whole wedding day with a couple and their family and friends, quietly capturing everything as it unfolds.

This is exactly what I love about filming weddings. The finished film isn't just a record of how the day looked - it's a way of remembering how it felt.

A Scottish Coastal Wedding

Gill & Callum’s wedding at Seamill Hydro was a wonderful example of what makes Scottish weddings so special.

Beautiful surroundings, great suppliers, plenty of laughter and celebration, but most importantly, a day centred around two people and the people who mean the most to them.

Gill & Callum, thank you so much for inviting me to be part of your wedding day. It was a genuine pleasure to spend the day with you both - and of course, with Beamer too! I hope your wedding film brings back all the laughter, emotion and happiness of the day for many years to come.
