Bride and Groom looking in to each others eyes at the side of a canal in Glasgow

Morna and Dominic’s wedding at The Engine Works in Glasgow was a day full of energy, laughter, and family. They’re the kind of couple who make everyone feel welcome. They are fun, down to earth, and family-focused and their wedding reflected that perfectly.

From heartfelt moments during the ceremony to an impromptu conga line later in the evening, it was the perfect mix of relaxed and high-energy, all set against the incredible industrial backdrop of one of Glasgow’s most iconic venues.

A Fun & Family-Focused Couple

Morna and Dominic are a couple who don’t take life too seriously. They love being surrounded by friends and family, and that was clear throughout the day. One of the standout touches was their table decorations. They put so much thought and creativity into making them personal and unique, and they suited the industrial-chic style of The Engine Works perfectly.

The Engine Works, Glasgow Wedding Venue

If you’ve never been, The Engine Works in Glasgow is one of Scotland’s most exciting industrial wedding venues. With its exposed brick walls, flexible open-plan layout, and city-centre location, it’s a dream for couples who want something modern and a little different.

One of my favourite spots to film was in the upper rooms, where we did most of the couple shoot. The space has an amazing atmosphere. It is bright, stylish, and intimate, and it was the perfect backdrop to capture those natural, relaxed moments between Morna and Dominic.

The Wedding Day

The day had a really lovely balance of emotion, fun, and energy:

  • The ceremony was relaxed, heartfelt, and full of laughter.

  • The speeches were full of smiles and genuine belly laughs, which were a joy to capture.

  • The reception had an electric atmosphere. From the brilliant live music to the surprise conga line that broke out on the dance floor, it was impossible not to get swept up in the energy of it all.

Capturing the Day

As with all my weddings, I kept my filming style discreet, relaxed, and natural. Morna and Dominic wanted the day to unfold without fuss, and I loved being able to capture it in a way that felt authentic to them.

A highlight for me was the two couple shoots - a chance to step away from the buzz for a few quiet moments and capture something timeless in the middle of all the fun.

Here’s their Highlights Film, which sums up the atmosphere of their day perfectly:
