A Winter Wedding at Norton House Hotel | Vicky & Murray | 20.11.2025
Vicky and Murray’s wedding at Norton House Hotel was such a beautifully calm, family-focused day that you couldn’t help but smile your way through. It was a beautiful bright, chilly November day, with the kind of crisp winter light that makes everything feel a little bit magical.
Morning Prep — Relaxed and Full of Family Life
The morning began in the best possible way: relaxed, cosy, and filled with the sound of children laughing and playing. While the bridal party got ready, the kids ran around without a care in the world, dipping in and out of the excitement. It set the tone for the whole day - so natural, unforced, and centred around family.
A Ceremony Full of Heart
One of the moments that will stay with me was during the ceremony. Vicky and Murray’s two little ones wandered up to the front, instinctively wanting to be close to their parents. They weren’t thinking about the guests or the cameras or the significance of the moment - they just wanted their mum and dad.
It was a beautifully unscripted moment, the kind of moment you can’t plan. As a videographer, these are the moments I love most. Honest, instinctive, and full of meaning.
Winter Light at Norton House Hotel
Norton House Hotel is always a joy to film at, but the winter sunshine made it feel particularly special. The forest trail behind the venue was the perfect spot for some time away from the crowd. The winter light filtered softly through the trees, and later in the evening the festoon lights added a warm glow as the daylight faded.
It was peaceful, intimate, and the perfect setting for Vicky and Murray to just be themselves for a few minutes.
A Natural Love Story
My favourite part of the day was watching the two of them together during their couple shoot. Nothing forced, nothing staged. Just two people completely comfortable with each other, laughing, walking, and sharing those small quiet moments that say more than anything.
It suited my style perfectly - relaxed, discreet, and driven by real connection rather than performance.
A Family-Focused Celebration
Throughout the entire day, what stood out was how close-knit and warm everything felt. No big theatrics, just a family celebrating together. The intimate moments between everyone were the heart of the day, and it was a privilege to capture it all as naturally as it unfolded.
