About Us

When we got married in 2015, we made having a video of our wedding a priority and are so glad that we did. We have lost count of the number of times we have watched our film and we love sharing it with friends and family to relive our special day. We continued capturing our own adventures through film and photography so that we could relive these memories and show our friends and family what we have been up to since we last saw them.

With a keen passion for photography and film for a number of years, we volunteered to video the wedding of a couple of our closest friends.  We enjoyed it so much that we decided to venture further and Capercaillie Films was born! Our passion for storytelling through beautiful film and music has grown over the years and we love nothing more than handing a final edit over to a couple knowing they can relive their day and discover moments they weren’t even aware they missed.

Looking back at family home videos from our childhoods is something we enjoy doing regularly. Being able to share special memories from before we met, with one another and now with our own family is priceless. Now, as parents, we want to use our skills to capture the family memories for our two wee boys and want to offer other families the same opportunity. If you have a special event that you would like captured, we would love to hear from you.

We have always appreciated the imagery of what you see every day while scrolling the internet or watching TV and films, with this appreciation and our understanding of storytelling at such a personal family level, we want to expand this to other people and businesses to see how much it can benefit and enrich their lives with memories, stories and help promote their services, skills, and talents.
