Fun & Relaxed Highland Wedding in Dornoch | Daisy & Steven | 30.08.2025

Fun confetti moment outside Dornoch Cathedral at Daisy and Steven’s Highland wedding

Daisy & Steven tied the knot on the 30th of August 2025, and their day was just so full of happiness. It had that fun, relaxed Highland wedding vibe that really felt like them - easygoing, close to home, and a proper highland celebration with their favourite people.

Dornoch Cathedral Ceremony

I started the morning with Daisy and her bridal glam squad at the Royal Golf Hotel while Steven got ready at home with the boys. Both sets of wedding preparations had the same laid-back feeling as the rest of the day, with plenty of laughter and a few drinks to settle any nerves.

The ceremony took place at the incredible Dornoch Cathedral. It’s such a spectacular setting, and you could really feel how much it meant to them to get married there. One of my favourite moments was Daisy’s reveal to her dad before heading down the aisle - his reaction was so emotional and genuine, it was one of those moments you know will be remembered forever.

Keeping it Simple and Beautiful

What I loved about Daisy & Steven was how relaxed they were with each other. They never took themselves too seriously, always joking and laughing together. After the ceremony, we headed to the beach for their couple shoot. It wasn’t staged or formal - just them being themselves in a place that felt close to home.

Clashmore Village Hall Reception

After the cathedral, everyone gathered at Clashmore Village Hall for the reception. It’s a simple space, but it couldn’t have been a better fit for the Highland wedding party vibe they wanted. Speeches were heartfelt, the atmosphere was lively, and the dance floor carried the party well into the night.

The Team Behind the Day

They had such a brilliant team of suppliers helping bring everything together:

A Day That Was Truly Theirs

This wedding was a perfect example of how a fun, relaxed Highland wedding in Dornoch can be just as beautiful and meaningful as any big production. From the historic cathedral to a village hall party, it was simple, personal, and full of heart.

If you’re planning your own Highland wedding and want it captured naturally — with all the laughter, emotion, and energy of the day — I’d love to chat.
